Microsoft Outlook Express 6 – Microsoft XP Professional – Skybeam Email

  • Click the Start Menu.

  • Entourage

  • Put your mouse over All Programs.
  • Choose the Outlook Express icon



  • Once Outlook Express is opened, click Tools and then click Accounts...

  • Accounts Window

  • A new window will pop up titled Internet Accounts.
  • Click on the Mail tab.


  • New Account

  • Next, click the Add > button and choose the Mail… option.

  • Setup Window

  • You should be at the Internet Connection Wizard.
  • Put in your Full Name for the Display name field.
  • Click Next .



  • You are now at the Internet E-mail Address window.
  • Enter in your Full Skybeam Email for the E-mail address field.
  • Click Next



  • The E-mail Server Names window is now showing.
  • Make sure that My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.; actually has the POP3 selected.
  • For Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server type pop.everyone.net.
  • For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server type smtp.everyone.net.
  • Click Next.



  • The Internet Mail Logon screen should now be showing.
  • For Account name type your Full Skybeam Email.
  • For the Password field, type your Personal Password.
  • Click Next .



  • You are now at the Congratulations screen.
  • Click Finish.



  • You are now back to the Internet Accounts where we initially started.
  • Highlight your account by left-clicking the pop.everyone.net. (It will be highlighted in blue.)
  • Click Properties.



  • A new window will pop up titled pop.everyone.net Properties.
  • Click the Servers tab.
  • At the bottom of the window, Check the box that says My server requires authentication.
  • Click the Settings… button. A new window will pop up.



  • We are in the Outgoing Mail Server window.
  • Make sure that the bubble saying Use same settings as my incoming mail server is filled in.
  • Click OK.



  • We are now at the previous screen: pop.everyone.net Properties.
  • Click the Apply button.
  • Click OK .



  • We are back at the Internet Mail page.
  • Click the button that says Close. (Not the red X!).



  • You have successfully set up to use Microsoft Outlook Express 6 client on your Windows XP computer!
