Single ActivePhone™ Installation

The video tutorial will give you step-by-step instructions on how to set up a basic, stand-alone phone only.  This configuration is recommended for users who wish not to connect to the home phone wiring but simply want a phone in one location. Please configure in this manner if you plan to keep a phone line with a standard phone carrier.  If you would like to create a configuration for your entire home that work with your existing phone wiring please click on the Advanced Whole Home Install tab above.

Single ActivePhone™ Network Configurations

Your home network can be configured in a number of ways.  The most common configuration is one of two ways:  1) Internet directly connected to your computer  or 2) Internet connected to a router or wireless router which distributes the Internet connection to multiple devices.  The diagrams below show how the ActivePhone™ Adapter should be place in your home network in either of these two situations.

Whole Home ActivePhone™ Installation

The video tutorial will give you step-by-step instructions on how to set up a whole home telephone system using your existing phone jacks.  This configuration is recommended for users who wish connect to the home phone wiring and disconnect the traditional analog phone system. Note: you will not be able to maintain an analog home phone if using this configuration method.  If you would like to create a a simple stand-alone phone with your RISE BROADBAND ActivePhone™ please see instructions for the Single ActivePhone™ Installation above.
