Why did Skybeam change their billing system and how does this help me?

Our old provider did not have all of the features we needed to provide features such as on line bill pay and the ability to make changes in real time. We chose a new provider with a much broader suite of features for both you and to us in operating our business.

Why am I receiving a paper statement?

As of November 1st, we have changed to a new provider for our billing services to add both new features and convenience. We are sending a paper statement to announce these changes and to provide direction on how you can access the new customer "Manage My Account" features on the www.skybeam.com web site. You will need to register and then choose your statement preferences for either paper or electronic delivery.

How can I pay my bill?

We offer multiple ways to make regular payments. Through the new on line web site at www.skybeam.com in the "Manage My Account" area, recurring payments can be made directly by credit card, through regular bank drafts or by simply making payments by check. Skybeam encourages Going Green by promoting payment though regular credit card or bank drafts. This will also save you money by eliminating the paper statement fees.

I currently pay my bill through an automated charge to my credit card or through an automatic bank draft, will this continue?

Yes, this will continue until you choose to change it. We are moving all existing automated payment information so your automatic payments will continue going forward.

Why am I not still on annual, 6 months, or quarterly billing anymore?

We no longer offer these options so all outstanding balances have been applied to the monthly rate that corresponded to your original pricing. You will begin receiving monthly statements showing this credit balance where it applies. You can continue to pre-pay for your service at the calculated monthly rates if you choose and the credit will be applied to the regular monthly charges.

Why am I now paying a rental fee?

For your convenience, we are separating this fee out on the statements to more clearly detail the charges. This fee has always been a part of our charges. This will not increase the total monthly charge.

How can I change my statement method from paper mailings to electronic notices?

Directions on how to log into our new "Manage My Account" section of the www.skybeam.com web site are included with the first paper statement you will receive in the mail. You will need to log into the secure web site, create a login ID and password which will then allow you to chose your statement options. There will be a $3.00 per month charge when requesting a monthly paper statement.

Why did my service description change?

Your services have not changed but the description may have to better reflect what you are paying for.

Will my billing date be changing?

We are leaving your existing billing date the same. However, going forward, we will be creating and sending statements out to all of our customers 10-15 days prior to the billing date. This will provide advance notice of your charges.

Will there be any other differences because of the billing system changes?

During the initial transition, some payments may not be entered immediately and may not show up for several days in late October or very early November. These payments will be entered and displayed on the subsequent statements.
